Climbing accessible from the Tarentaise Valley

Our chalets are in Montchavin and Bourg Saint Maurice. Both towns are in what is called the Tarentaise Valley which runs from the source of the Isere river at Val d'Isere down to Albertville. From this valley you can access climbing routes in the Vanoise National Park and from the Cormette de Roseland, the Col d'Iseran and the Col de Petite Saint Bernard.

Chillchalet accommodation is perfect for climbers because:

1. We have a storage room at ground floor level underneath the chalet which is locked with a key code so your equipment will be secure.
2. Our chalet in Bourg Saint Maurice is a few minutes walk from an outdoor climbing wall and bouldering wall which is free to use and open all day every day.
3. There is a climbing shop a few minutes walk away where you can get any equipment you may need before you head out for the day.
4. The entrance hall has a boot rack where you can leave wet shoes, and each room has a heated rail and hooks for drying out wet clothes.
5. We have an arrangement with a local transfer company to drop you off and pick you up from good spots if you would rather not bring your car.
6. We can arrange for an experienced guide to show you around, or book you on to a more intensive climbing course.
7. We can provide packed lunches, and high energy morning and evening meals.
