"Me and a few of my riding buddies have done Morzine - too many kids on dead expensive rigs, blocking the trails and having a rave every night. Morzine (alledgedly) has the better night life, but if you're going for the riding, who cares about the night life? Not sure that Les Arcs is the poor cousin though, i think it's really cool. Sitting outside the bar (the one on the roundabout opposite the chalet) watching the sun going down over the mountains is very relaxing. It's sort of a grand finale to the end of a great days riding."

"Best runs are Black 8 Red 11, Red 7, Downhill run X, Church run, across the vally to Black14. Back to bar Maxima for some dutch courage and tackling the wonderful 'chalet run'. Bit unofficial that one, it's a secret."
"Rob and the guys were brilliant and really know their onions. We had a wicked time and even though we're all different standards everyone enjoyed it and got loads out of it. I thought we'd only need their help the once, but I'm not sure I'd be able to find my way around on my own because they took us to so many places, so we'd like to book them again for the next trip please." I am a professional Mountain Bike rider and write features regularly for MBUK magazine along with a monthly column I have in the Trials section of the mag. Each year we look for interesting places to visit and shoot features and I think Bourg is the perfect destination." Martyn Ashton
"The guys i am bringing are new to mountain biking. They are all out buying expensive rigs and are all wishing we could get the time off together, at the same time, for the next trip. The idea this year is that i will get one of those Go-Pro helmet cam gadgets and video the rides at Les Arc. The idea being that we get out there every year, perhaps not all at the same time, to sample the riding and do a video diary. I certainly found plenty to do last year, never really took a break to be honest." Jeff, 09

Arrive on the Saturday - Sort the lift pass 1pm - Set stopwatch
1.01pm: Funicular

"To be completely honest, our stay could not have been any better! The location of your chalet was perfect and the hospitality was greatly appreciated. In addition, your cooking and the ability to "let loose" was a welcomed change during our trip. I also liked the fact that we were able to eat as a group and meet others traveling through that area as well. "You've got a great place. You've obviously put a lot of effort into it and I think it shows. Although I didn't spend a lot of time upstairs the lounge area is really comfortable and homely - just what you need. I loved the bathrooms - great showers and really nice fittings etc. It was a nice touch on your part to let me have a whole room to myself even though I was on my own. And within the room there were plenty of places to store and hang clothes."

We're hoping to come back next year with a big group... I've been working on a couple of lads back here, planting the seed of gravity assisted riding, so who knows?!."

It's obvious that you take your MTB service seriously, having Rob on hand and staff who know their stuff. So many places we've stayed before are obviously just run by skiers trying to earn some extra money from their places. So keep it up and we'll be back for sure."
