Mountain biking in Les Arcs and La Plagne

The Paradiski area was created by joining two large resorts called Les Arcs and La Plagne, with a mighty double-decker cable car called the Vanoise Express in December 2004. This has made it the second largest accessible area in the world with hundreds of miles of trails and and lifts at altitudes of 1200m to 3520m. The lifts are open from mid June until September and are well maintained. The most famous resorts for mountain biking are currently Morzine and Les Gets which is great news for mountain bikers in Paradiski because the trails stay in much better condition, for longer, are less crowded, and you never have to queue for a lift. We have been to resorts all over the world and have fifteen seasons under our collective belts, and we still think this is the best area there is.

Chillchalet accommodation is perfect for mountain bikers because:

1. We have a storage room at ground floor level underneath the chalet which is locked with a key code so your bikes, helmets etc will be secure.
2. There is a workshop with all the tools, spare tubes etc you should need for day to day repairs.
3. There is an area outside where you can hose down and a stand to help you carry out repairs.
4. The entrance hall has a boot rack where you can leave wet shoes, and each room has a heated rail and hooks for drying out wet clothes.
5. We have an arrangement with a local transfer company to drive people and bikes up the mountain when the lifts are closed.
6. We can also arrange for an experienced guide to show you around the resort.
7. If you need to hire bikes, or buy equipment we can show you the best places in the town, or if you need us to, we can organise this for you in advance.
