Advice for those who are new to mountain biking...
Les Arcs
and La Plagne are the two resorts in the Paradiski area, which is the largest area accessible to mountain bikers
in the world, with hundreds of miles of trails and and lifts at altitudes
of 1200m to 3520m. Lifts are open for mountain biking most of the year.
During the months they are closed we provide van uplifts for mountain bikers, and walkers. The great news for mountain biking in Paradiski
is that the area is still fairly unknown, so the trails stay in much better condition for longer, and are less
crowded.
Chillchalet is perfect accommodation for mountain bikers because:
- We have a secure storage room at ground floor level where your bikes, helmets etc will be secure.
- There is a workshop with all the tools, spare tubes etc you should
need for day to day repairs.
- There is an area outside where you can hose down and a stand to help
you carry out repairs.
- The entrance hall has a boot rack where you can leave wet shoes, and
each room has a heated rail and hooks for drying clothes.
- We have an arrangement with a local transfer company to drive people
and bikes up the mountain when the lifts are closed.
- We can also arrange for an experienced guide to show you around the
resort.
- If you need to hire bikes, or buy equipment we can show you the best
places in the town, or if you need us to, we can organise this for you
in advance.
