Parapenting involves skiing, snowboarding, or running off the side of the mountain with a parashute on your back. Once it is opened you have an amazing flight down into the valley riding the thermals, which can last for anything between 10 minutes to an hour depending on the altitude you leave from.

There are several companies in the area around La Plagne and Les Arcs providing parapente services which are all walking distance from our chalets. Let us know if you are interested in parapenting while you are staying with us so we can arrange the best option for you, and you can just pay in Euros when you arrive. The cost will depend on your needs, but here are a few examples of what is on offer:

Take a discover parapenting flight

* Suitable for anyone over 5 years of age.
* You will fly in tandem with an instructor for around 12 minutes.
* You are driven, or take a lift up around 200m from the meeting point and will land back where you started.
* Available every morning year round.
* Prices vary from 55 to 70 Euros per person.

Long Tandem flights

* Suitable for anyone over 12 years of age.
* You will fly in tandem with an instructor for around 45 minutes.
* You are driven, or take a lift up around 1000m from the meeting point and will land back where you started.
* Available every early afternoon year round.
* Prices vary from 110 to 125 Euros per person.

Parapenting course

* Suitable for anyone over 12 years of age.
* You will spend between 3 and 5 mornings in the school, and do a 50 minute tandem flight each afternoon.
* You are driven to 1000m above the meeting point and land back down in the valley.
* You will end the course with a solo flight.
* Available from May to September.
* Prices vary from 275 to 450 Euros per person.
