The Evening Standard, October 1010
"If you simply must have access to the "name" ski areas, you can also cut costs by staying in these areas' lesser-know satellites. For the Paradiski area, try the Chill Chalet operation (www.chillchalet.com), a brilliant example of a smaller company offering unique deals. Unlike the fixed Saturday-to-Saturday option of larger companies, this small outfit offers chalet-style accommodation with hotel flexibility and you can stay for one night or two weeks. It's a great idea because it means you can take advantage of cheaper midweek travel. It offers two types of accommodation, either a townhouse in Bourg Saint Maurice or a ski-in/ski-out chalet in Montchavin, which link to the resorts of Les Arcs and La Plagne. Even better, this season Chill Chalet is marking its 10th anniversary by offering prices of £18 per night for the first two weeks of the season. A week's B&B for £127? See you there".

The Times, September 2009
The British-run Chillchalet at Bourg St Maurice in the French Alps has direct access to the Les Arcs area, which has a permanent air-bag in its funpark this year. Chillchalet offers accommodation on a per-night basis, so people can take advantage of midweek flights or the train services from London. The standard rate for catered accommodation is £65 per adult but a special offer for the first two weeks and last two weeks of the season is roughly £18 per person including breakfast. On the subject of transport, while the "official" ski train is no more, there are still two great connections. Eurostar's Direct Ski service runs express from London St Pancras to Bourg St Maurice on Friday evenings and Saturday mornings, while Rail Europe has regular connections from London to Bourg (with a change in Paris) every day of the week. The winter timetable is posted online in mid-October and early bookings are expected to start at £99 return, or £124 for an overnight sleeper".

The Guardian, Oct 2006
"A stay at this homely alternative to the traditional chalet holiday is almost like doing a season in the old days - and Tignes, Val d'Isère, La Plagne and La Rosière are within an hour's drive".

Whitelines, Feb 2010
"Check out chillchalet.com - they are an independant, Brit run outfit that offer rooms on a pay per night basis (£65 including breakfast, tea, dinner and wine). They're located in the Les Arcs, La Plagne ski area so you could even get the overnight Eurostar from London right to their doorstep."

"7 years on it's great to see that you are sticking to your principles. We love how chilled out it all is" Mary, Apr 08
