Rafting and canoeing on the river Isere in the Tarentaise Valley

The river Isere runs through the middle of the Tarentaise Valley through Bourg Saint Maurice and provides a playground for all sorts of water activities from May until October. There is a whitewater slalom course which is used for international canoe and kayak competitions such as the ICF world championships, and the river is used by many paddle sport teams as a training course. Chillchalet accommodation is perfect for enjoying paddle sports because:

1. We are walking distance from the river, and we can drive you and or your boats down there for you.
2. We have a storage room at ground floor level underneath the chalet which is locked with a key code so you can store canoes, kayaks, helmets etc.
3. There is an area outside where you can hose down boats and wetsuits.
4. The entrance hall has a boot rack where you can leave wet shoes, and each room has a heated rail and hooks for drying out wet clothes. There is also a heated area for drying out wetsuits.
5. We can arrange for an experienced guide to show you the best spots on the river or for you to have lessons, or book day trips for you to go white water rafting or canyoning.
6. If you need to hire boats or wetsuits or buy any equipment we can show you the best places in the town, or if you need us to, we can organise this for you in advance.
